Who You Are

• Educated to A-level or equivalent.
• Relevant training in customer service, community engagement or sustainability.
• Experience in a project support or coordination role, ideally within a public service or environmental context.
• Knowledge of waste management, recycling services or environmental sustainability (desirable).
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Competent in using standard office IT applications.
• Enthusiastic and proactive, with a can-do attitude.
• Committed to customer service and improving local environmental outcomes.

What the job involves

To support the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of the Authority’s contamination reduction and recycling education plan. The role focuses on project management support, stakeholder engagement, data collection, and schedule planning to ensure successful delivery of program objectives. Key responsibilities include:

• Assist in the development and delivery of the contamination reduction and recycling education plan.
• Organise and coordinate the recycling advisor team.
• Gather, analyse, and present data to inform decision-making.
• Design and deliver engagement and communication activities with residents and stakeholders.
• Liaise with internal teams and external partners to support timely delivery of project milestones.
• Coordinate the delivery of team schedules to achieve agreed objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate service trials and pilots, gathering feedback and reporting outcomes.
• Supervise a team of advisors and report issues encountered during routine duties.
