Who You Are
As a dedicated Social Worker within the Children and Young People's Service, you are passionate about providing good quality services to support children, young people, and their families. You possess professional qualifications in social work and have current registration with Social Work England. You are committed to the principles of the Children Act 1989, the Children Act 2004, and other relevant legislation. Your experience allows you to handle complex and high-risk cases requiring advanced skills.
What the Job Involves
In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload of children, including those in need, child protection, and looked-after children. You will conduct assessments, create and manage care plans, and collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure timely and positive outcomes. You will also engage in safeguarding duties, investigate allegations of neglect or abuse, and act in emergency situations. Additionally, you will contribute to the strategic management of services and support the Families Assessment and Support Team (FAST).
