Cleaner (Grade 1)

What the job involves

This role involves providing an effective, efficient, and high-quality cleaning service within a school environment in Rhondda Cynon Taf. You will be responsible for cleaning designated areas to an approved standard, adhering to Health and Safety procedures, maintaining and ordering stock levels, and supporting the Council’s efforts in tackling Climate Change. You may be required to undertake additional duties as necessary and possibly work shift patterns.

Skills

• Ability to communicate with people effectively – team player
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations
• Experience in Cleaning
• Welsh language skills (Basic Level 1 required; higher levels desirable)
• Ability to work alone or in a team
• Demonstrating technical ability and willingness to learn new tasks
• Working safely and reporting risks promptly
• Being committed and reliable with the ability to work without close supervision
