Who You Are
You are a key member of the Grounds and Cleansing Section within Neighbourhood Services, working closely with the Commercial and Operations Manager, as well as various colleagues. You are the first point of contact for external clients such as Monmouthshire Housing Association, Aneurin Bevan Health Board, and Heddlu Gwent Police. You are dedicated to delivering high-quality, visible commercial services to both external and internal clients.
What the Job Involves
Your primary responsibility as a Commercial Grounds Maintenance Operative is to ensure the delivery of high-quality grounds maintenance services. You'll maintain public open spaces, verges, plantings, schools, and contracted sites to provide a clean and sustainable environment. Most of your time will be spent on grounds maintenance activities, although there will be occasions when you will work as part of a street services team to help maintain local environmental quality, including tasks like litter picking and responding to fly-tipping.
