Who You Are
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care team. This role is ideal for an OT with extensive local authority social care experience, who is capable of working autonomously and managing a complex caseload.
What the job involves
The position involves undertaking comprehensive OT assessments compliant with the Care Act for adults aged 18+ with disabilities. You will apply clinical reasoning to assess risks, promote independence, prescribe equipment, and complete risk assessments. Responsibilities include conducting Manual Handling assessments, recommending major adaptations, and participating in Disabled Facilities Grant processes. You will also handle duty triaging on a rota basis, maintain case records, and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Skills
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Experience in Adult Social Care (local authority setting)
- Care Act assessments
