Who You Are

We are seeking an Advanced Social Work Practitioner who is calm, practical, and child-focused. You value teamwork and have the ability to support others in doing their best work. You possess a strong commitment to safeguarding, developing a learning culture, and ensuring high standards in operational social work practice. You are registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have evidence of continuing professional development.

What the Job Involves

The Advanced Social Work Practitioner role involves working across assessments, Child in Need, Child Protection, pre-proceedings, and court work. You will support social workers with case direction, risk management, and decision-making, stepping in on complex cases as needed. The role focuses on building a learning culture, supporting reflective practice, coaching social workers, and helping staff development. You will also work closely with managers and partner agencies to improve practice and keep children at the center of the work. Responsibilities include chairing complex meetings, managing workloads, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and leading on specific projects.
