Senior Social Worker – Adult Services

Who You Are

You are an experienced social worker with a qualification in Social Work, such as a Degree or DipSW, registered with the Care Council for Wales as a "Social Worker". With a commitment to continuing professional development, you have experience in managing complex cases, working within multi-disciplinary settings, and applying the principles of the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014. Your role will encompass providing a direct social work service to adults and families, ensuring their needs and rights are central to the decision-making processes. You will act as a positive role model, promoting high professional standards and anti-discriminatory practices.

What the Job Involves

The role involves delivering a high-quality social work service to adults and their families to achieve positive outcomes, focusing on resilience and independence. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and the community to deliver integrated responses to meet needs. Responsibilities include conducting assessments and reviews, safeguarding investigations, and preparing reports for strategy meetings. You will maintain a caseload of varied complexity, ensuring effective communication and timely completion of tasks while promoting best practices and supporting professional development.

Skills

  • Qualification in Social Work (Degree or equivalent)
  • Registration with Care Council for Wales as a Social Worker
