Who You Are
We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to support the Families First Front Door Service on a temporary basis, covering maternity leave for up to 9 months. You are a committed and trained professional focused on safeguarding and supporting children and families. You should have a strong understanding of children's needs and a collaborative approach to working with partners.
What the job involves
This role involves supporting the Families First Front Door Service to provide a 24-hour response to concerns for children and young people. You will work on a rota Monday to Friday between 8am and 8pm, and weekends from 9am to 5pm, including an on-call service. You will be tasked with assessing the needs of children, young people, and families, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate support. Emergency Duty Service will handle out-of-hours emergencies, while regular contact will be triaged and responded to the next day.
