Who You Are

You have a keen eye for detail and possess strong literacy skills, including excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation knowledge. You thrive in administrative roles, particularly within environments focused on Children, Young People and Families services. With effective communication skills, you are able to summarize discussions clearly and work well in a team setting. Your ability to concentrate during lengthy meetings and manage the emotional impact of sensitive information enables you to excel in detailed tasks such as minute-taking.

What the Job Involves

This role requires you to take accurate, non-verbatim minutes of strategy and other statutory meetings within the Child, Young People, and Families sector. You will support the independent chair in documenting or updating child protection plans and producing abridged versions for young people and family members. Recording attendee details, ensuring data protection, and inputting minutes into the IT system are essential responsibilities. Additionally, you will contribute to improving efficiency, customer experience, and practices in the department.
