Who You Are

You are a dedicated and compassionate individual, committed to enhancing the independence and coping skills of those in need. You have a good general education, a degree in Social Work or equivalent, and current registration with Social Care Wales. You possess a non-judgemental and caring attitude, with a commitment to the principles of equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice. Living in or close to Cardiff, you can undertake home visits when required.

What the Job Involves

This role involves assisting individuals to resolve significant issues in their lives within the framework of current legislation and Council policy. You will assess, commission, and review services, plan interventions, and protect those at risk. Key responsibilities include managing a caseload with varying complexities, providing informed decisions through engagement, enhancing independence, assessing risks, planning and implementing intervention strategies, and participating in decision-making forums. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with colleagues, contributing to service outcomes, and supporting the principles and practice of equality of opportunity.
