What the Job Involves
The role involves providing high-quality support to adults with disabilities, including physical, emotional, and personal care. You will participate in care planning, monitoring, and review processes while promoting equality, choice, privacy, dignity, and independence for customers. Your responsibilities include organizing and leading activities in the community and service, safeguarding vulnerable adults, and participating in performance management processes. You will work in a flexible environment that requires adaptation to changing customer needs, including working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Skills
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Manual handling and safe handling of medication
- Food hygiene and infection control
- Epilepsy awareness and safeguarding adults awareness
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
- Effective communication skills with diverse methods and media
- Ability to plan and support access to activities
- Ability to record information and write concise reports
- Experience with people with learning disabilities
