Who You Are
The ideal candidate is a competent and experienced professional in at least two mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) disciplines within a commercial setting, ideally focused on education. You possess a recognized qualification in at least one MEP area (e.g., NVQ 3, City and Guilds) and demonstrate an excellent standard of customer care. You are skilled at problem-solving, diagnosing building faults, and ensuring properties are well maintained with minimal disruption to services.
What the Job Involves
The role involves carrying out mechanical and/or electrical repairs, planned preventative maintenance, and installations in commercial type buildings, such as schools and children's centers. You will manage and schedule your workload independently, undertake routine reactive repairs, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You are required to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and provide innovative solutions for building maintenance strategies. The role emphasizes high-quality customer service and the completion of maintenance tasks in line with ‘Right First Time’ principles.
